Shiva Nandy is the Founder and CEO of Skyesports, one of India’s foremost esports and gaming organizations, known for building original IPs and thriving gaming communities. With over 15 years of experience in the gaming and esports ecosystem, he has been instrumental in positioning Skyesports as a leader in the industry, spearheading large-scale events and partnerships with major brands. Backed by his expertise in engineering, management, and entrepreneurship, Shiva has successfully engaged millions of gamers across India and beyond. A passionate advocate for grassroots esports, he has been actively working with state governments and educational institutions to integrate esports into the mainstream sports ecosystem, fostering growth and opportunities for young talent.

With a background in engineering and an MBA in Technology Management, Shiva began his journey in game development before founding Skyesports, now a cornerstone of the Indian esports ecosystem.

With over a decade of experience in the industry and a recipient of the AVGC 40 Under 40 award, Shiva has worked with top global and regional brands including Tencent, Disney, Krafton, Marvel Studios, Supercell, The Pokémon Company, Nexon Studios, Red Bull, Flipkart, Monster Energy, WD Black, HyperX, AMD, Gigabyte, Tecno, and more.

At the heart of Shiva’s vision is a three-pronged approach that has become instrumental in the exponential growth of Indian esports:

  • Building original IPs and enabling international exposure for Indian teams - Through IPs like Skyesports Masters, he has not only created high-impact tournament properties but also ensured Indian representation on global stages in titles like Pokémon Unite.
  • Bringing global and national publishers to invest in India - By establishing credibility and delivering high-quality events, Shiva has consistently attracted publisher interest in the Indian market, fueling growth at both grassroots and pro levels.
  • Educating brands and connecting them with esports organizations - Shiva has been a key bridge between non-endemic brands and the gaming ecosystem, enabling authentic activations and monetization models that benefit both sides.

Beyond commercial success, Shiva has actively influenced public policy, contributing to the inclusion of esports in the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s Trophy and helping launch the Chennai Esports Global Championship by the Tamil Nadu Government. He continues to collaborate with the Government of Karnataka to push esports initiatives further.

Having hosted 50+ LAN events and developed 10+ homegrown IPs, Shiva has built Skyesports from the ground up with a sustainable, scalable model. His work has not only helped shape the narrative around esports in India but has also driven momentum for the entire ecosystem: esports organizations, players, brands, and publishers alike.
